
Juan Cotto
Board Member
Juan Cotto is recognized as a public activist and leader in the Seattle area. Mr. Cotto is Director of Government Affairs at BloodworksNW Western Washington’s blood health organization. He spent 12 years at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center where he worked to increase awareness of cancer research in minority communities and served as Chair of the Fred Hutch Diversity Council. Mr. Cotto currently serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Seattle Urban League, the Children’s Campaign Fund, and El Centro De La Raza.
Mr. Cotto grew up in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of South Seattle, attended 12 years of Catholic school and graduated from O’Dea High School, and graduated Western Oregon State College with a Degree in Social Science and has completed his coursework at the University of Washington’s Graduate School of Public Administration. Mr. Cotto and his wife, Sara Cotto, live in the Leschi neighborhood of South Seattle with their two children Clemente and Araceli.
